Georgianna died November 20, 2007 after a long history of cardiac problems. Her obituary was published in the Deseret News on November 25, 2007.

"Mikee"

1/27/51 ~ 11/20/07

Georgianna Black (known to her friends as Mikee) died peacefully in her sleep early Tuesday morning, November 20, 2007, after a long history of cardiac problems. Georgianna was the daughter of George and Helen English Black. Mikee was the beloved best friend and adopted sister of Jan Buttrey and Diane Simons. She was a graduate of Highland High School and Westminster College. She worked as a contract manager for many large firms including Northwest (Williams) Pipeline and Utah Power and Light. The light in her life was her dogs, Nikolas (AKA Nickle Pickle) and Tukker (Blackfire's Tucked in My Heart). She dearly loved them and found the unquestioning love and devotion she so deeply needed in them. She was a lifelong Democrat and loved political science, history and trivia, especially about old movies. Her dry, quick wit and satirical humor often got her in trouble but it was a

delight to those who knew and loved her.

During the past few years, Mikee has exhibited great strength and courage as she has struggled with poor health. After a long battle with severe endocarditis, last February, she struggled here way back to fairly good health and seemed well on her way to recovery. The bravery she displayed should be an example to us all.

Graveside services will be held Monday, November 26, 2007, at l:00 p.m. at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Because of her deep love of dogs and other animals, in lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, 5001 Angel Canyon Rd., Kanab, UT 84741, or your local Humane Society.

Services under the direction of Evans and Early Mortuary, Salt Lake City, Utah.

"Our dear friend and sister, may you finally find happiness and be at peace. We'll always love you".
