Gregory Bryan Anderson has left us unexpectedly and it has left us in shock. We are heartbroken. He passed away Friday, May 1st at his home.

He was born in Salt Lake City on May 29, 1951 to Janice and Arthur Anderson. He was raised to be honest, compassionate, hard-working, kind, friendly, and Christlike by his parents.

He attended and graduated from the University of Utah. He was a devoted Utes fan and made sure his family shared in the tradition and excitement. Tickets to every Utes game for everyone: Rachel, Stuart, Graham, Kristin, Lauren, and also his grandkids: Arthur, Addison, Ava, Zoe, Sammy, Virginia and Annie. He loved getting his family together and presided in righteousness and cheer.

He built his own company, The Crown Council… along with his brother and partner, Steve, and Rachel and Stuart. He loved his employees: Joey Smith, Lisel Zito, and Erin Kilgore. He worked hard to be successful and endearing. He had many friends he gladly mentored.

He built a lovely home for his family. His wife, Allyson was loved, pampered, and served every day of their married life.

Music and church hymns brought him joy. He had a beautiful high tenor singing voice and enjoyed singing in many different choirs throughout his life.

He was a gatherer at heart. He had a gift for gathering family and friends, and found great happiness in planning and hosting celebrations, parties, and family trips. He loved connecting people and created so many unforgettable memories and magical moments for his family.

He loved dogs and cats, and taking care of all kinds of animals and critters in his yard. He loved talking "dog talk" and was funny when he talked for the animals.

He was a true humanitarian and philanthropist, whose generosity changed countless lives. Always thinking of others and how he could help, he dedicated his life to serving those in need and inspiring others to do the same. Through founding the Smiles for Life Foundation, serving on the board of the Teammates for Kids Foundation, and leading hundreds of humanitarian trips to Mexico, Guatemala, and the Dominican Republic, his compassion reached people across the world. He gave generously, loved deeply, and lived with a constant desire to lift others.

He was devoted to his Primary Children, his Gospel Doctrine class, his temple assignment, and dedicated his entire life to serving all those around him through his time, his energy, his kindness, and his love. His life was a beautiful example of selfless service.

A celebration of life will be held May 15th at 1:00pm at the LDS Chapel on 4366 S. 1500 E. with a graveside service afterwards (by invitation only) at Elysian Burial Gardens on 1075 E. 4580 S, Millcreek, Utah. Please join us for some of Greg's favorite treats after the graveside service back at the chapel.
