I believe Mark's declining health was due to diabetes. Mark was my best friend in high school and we kept in touch throughout the years. We had a great time arguing religion and politics as we walked to school.
We were both drawn to ROTC because it got us out of having to take gym. We loved our years in "ROT-C" where we found many like-minded nerds. I remember how mad we were at all of you who threw pennies at our steel helmets when we marched down the aisle in the assembly flag ceremonies. Haha! Nowadays I'd probably join you.
