He was born in Logansport, Indiana, October 26, 1949 to H.Wayne Hill and Eva Elaine Hill. Louis graduated from Highland High School in 1969. He attended Diablo College, in Concord, California and the University of Utah. He was active in the ROTC program and served honorably in the Army. While serving his Country he married his high school sweetheart, Mary Pollary. He was stationed in Anchorage, Alaska. He was honored with the National Defense Service Medal. He also served in the Army National Guard. He worked for both Skaggs and Albertson's, in Salt Lake City. He had many friends from these associations. He is preceded in death by his beloved son, Joseph. He is survived by his four loving children and their wonderful mother, Mary, of Salt Lake City. He had many challenges and struggles but through it all he maintained his sense of humor and kind nature. He loved trains and music. He loved the pomp and circumstance of the Military. He was proud of his military service, but nothing compared to the love he held for his children. He adored the family he created. Those of us who knew him best knew he marched to the beat of a different drummer, but he never denied the love he had in his heart for his children and for their Mother. Ours lives will always be changed by his determination and his strength.
