John Addison Brooke passed away October 31, 2014 after an extended illness.
He was born June 4, 1951, in Salt Lake City, the son of Dr. Wallace S. and Josephine C. Brooke. He married Tamra Smith on September 28, 1980. He and Tamra owned and operated their own business and John worked in marketing convention expositions. John attended Highland High School and The Athenian School in California. He attended Colorado College and graduated from the University of Utah. As a young man, he loved skiing and golf and later enjoyed traveling, especially frequent trips to Mexico and British Columbia. He also looked forward to participating in the annual Smith Family Cattle Roundup in Green River.
He is survived by his wife Tamra, sister Terry Becker and brother Sands Brooke.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to close friends Kevin Waltz, Michelle Snow-Waltz, Cynde Howells, Spenser Elliott, Kerry Kruskop and Russell and Dee Nunley, as well as Dr.Yong Hui Ahn and Emily Thomas.
The family is planning a private memorial and suggests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to a charity of your choice in John's name.
